Trouble Trouble Trouble Trouble Trouble Trouble

"We got Trouble!  Right here in West Chester City!
With a capital "T" and that rhymns with "P" and that stands for pool......
which ends with "L" and starts with LIAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He takes this stool all around the house.  He can get anything with it.  He can get extra cookies off the counter, toothpaste, everyones tooth brush, food out of the pantery, paint out of Greg's painting desk, miniatures out of the den etc...

I have no idea how he got the crock pot on top of that pot.  And yes he is sitting on the rice maker.  He takes all of the pots out of the cubboards around 15 times a day.  -Sigh-  I find them all over the house.

On a good note, he has stopped crying endlessly when we are at home.  He used to just hold on to make legs and cry all day long until I picked him up.  Now, he plays or aka gets into everything.  I definately like get in to everything better than crying.  I just felt like complaining a little bit.

Here are some Trouble Liam Stories.

1.  He knocked over our Christmas tree and broke the Christmas tree.

2.  He took apart the heating panel on our heater in our sunroom.

3.  Even though he was only 2 feet away from me, he opened up a bottle of bleach and spilled it all over him.  I was helping Ali with spelling words, and he scooted behind me and got in to the laundry area and open it.  It WAS child proof.

4.  He got into Greg's paint.  Gave the small sealed paint to Chewy who then chewed it open for him.  He then begin to play with the bright, blue paint in the middle of our carpeted living room floor.

5.  He likes to climb into the bath tubs by himself and turn on the water- fully clothed.

However, I prefer the mayham to the crying.

six

Shadrach is now 6 years old.  We just had a family party.  He picked to have icecream cake for his birthday cake--  Which is really awesome because I got a cake for 4 dollars because it was red, white, and blue for the 4th of July.( it was 2 weeks after the fourth of July)  It made me happy.

Shadrach got a bow and arrows, 2 computer games, 2 movies, Kit Kats, and a bike!
A bike with no training wheels.  He can ride it by himself but is scared too.  If I run next to him he can do it, but he has no desire to do it without me.  It takes a lot of energy to run next to him too.  Whew.  I get tried just thinking about.
Shaddy McFaddy.  We started calling him that when he was little and a chunk.  Now he has no fat on his body at all.  But the nick name is still there.
The bow and arrows were a huge hit.  He practices every day and is actually really good at it.  Shadrach doesn't play with "toys" so I feel like I did a really good job with this buy.  I guess I can't take credit for it.  It was Ali who told me to buy it...... but I still bought it.  Ali knows her brother.  They are 19 months apart and best friends.

Shadrach is such a joy.  He always concerned for others feelings.  He is the "mother" with our kids.  People often assume Ali is, but no, it is Shad.  He loves little kids and loves to look after them.   He wants to be just like Greg.  So much so that it almost annoys me.  Good thing Greg is a good guy.

Shadrach is also super smart.  I know all parents think this about their kids, but I am telling the truth! There is ALOT going on in that head of his. He is going to do great things.  However, he would prefer to play video games all day long.  He loves to be day dreaming about computers, space, and all things electronic.  I feel like it is my job to teach and show him the great things he can do.  It is very possible he could waste his life away doing nothing or he could change the world.  Such pressure on my shoulders for this boy.  I love him.  Here's to another year.

4th of july

We went to Lebanon for the 4th of July.  Lebanon really knows how to celebrate the 4th of July.  You can just feel the love for our country for about 6 weeks before the 4th of July even happens.  I hear that out west celebrates the 4th really well too.  I would like to go sometime and see how they do it there.  But I have never seen it better than in the town of Lebanon.
The parade is one of the best parts of the celebration.  Anyone can be in the parade.  So there are a lot of cars with people sitting on the back of the,m and you don't know who they are.
Hanging out in the armored truck.  Lebanon has a big armory right down from my old house.  There are a lot people serving our country around where we used to live.
I cried a little when this float of veterans went by.  We stood and clapped loudly for them.  Greg and I have been watching a documentary on WWII.  I feel like I have learned so much.  My ideas on foreign policy have changed.  Did you hear that?  I changed my mind.  I used to think we should stay out of everything and let other people be and mind our own business.  I don't think that any more.  And I didn't Flip Flop.  As I have grown older, I have learned more and changed my mind.  I think it would be awful if I never changed my mind about any kind of policies my whole life.  I don't know why the media thinks it is so awful to change your mind once you learn more information.
Ok. Back to the parade.  The red hat ladies are always there.
 And the pipe organ.

 And trackers.
 Lots of trackers
I think this float won Grand Champion.  I could be wrong.
Some of Lebanon Branch watching the Parade.
Shadrach trying to stay cool
Enoch hung out with his buddy most of the time.  It made me happy.
Ali sat with her old friend too.  One of the things that makes Lebanon's parade so awesome is all of the candy!  My kids love it.  There is nothing like running in the street to get loads of candy.  A lot of cities stop this practice for fear that a child might get hurt.  I am so glad Lebanon still lets the candy fly.
We visited with lots of friends who were nice enough to have us over.  It was so nice to see everyone again.  Then we hoped in the car in head home.  All the kids fell asleep in the car.  So we thought we might as well drive past home and go to King's island for their fireworks!!!  We had and an hour and a half to kill before they started so we did some rides.  The kids were so excited to see the lights on the rides.  In the day time, the lights aren't on.
Some people got a little tired.
Other did not.
But no one cried or whined.  Even though it was a really long day.  And really hot.  It made me happy.

REDS!

We loved the REDS game.  It was so hot at the time, but now I don't think it was so hot because this last week has been even hotter.  Everyone had a really good time except for Enoch.  He liked the first two inning in which he ate a bag of popcorn and a bag of chips, and then he was ready to go home.

Ali and Shad watch the whole game and cheered.  Shadrach was so into watching the score board and always knowing how many ball, strikes, and outs there were.

I really enjoyed the view.  I loved to watch random boats go by the river.  I loved to watch the crowed and everyone else watching the game.  We left Liam with a baby sitter.  He is refusing to sit still lately and I had no idea how I would be able to hold him during the game.  The seats were not nearly as steep as I thought though, and there was a really good wall at the end of the balcony, so I probably could have taken him.

Enoch eating.  He did that most of the time.

I made home made pretzels for the game.  There was no way I was going to pay for the food there.  And they let you bring in food and drink as long as it is in clear plastic containers, so I did.

I popped popcorn, put chips in bags, put the pretzels in bags, and poured processed cheese into clear containers.  mmmmmm processed cheese mmmmmmm
We will have to do it again.  We all want to do a night game but don't know how with out ruining bed time schedules..... and heaven forbid we should get off schedule.
